About the Role

We are looking for a digital-obsessive Social Media Senior Manager to lead Madeby Collective’s social team. As a brand incubator, we are growing new brands and lean heavily on the strength of our social media platforms to help drive awareness and engagement for all our brands, including Complex Culture, Refreshments, Tresluce Beauty and ITEM Beauty. You will collaborate closely with brand managers to meet shared business objectives while creating social media strategies for each brand. As an integral part of the marketing team, you will work with in-house creative teams, your social media team, and external content creators to execute and deliver on key metrics.  

This role will support the Madeby Collective Brand Managers and will lead a team of Social Media Coordinators to ideate, strategize, execute and analyze social media content that supports our brands on our key focus platforms of Instagram and Tik Tok. We’re looking for candidates with exceptional creative and organizational qualities who enjoy creating new strategies to reach/engage different segments of consumers in a changing social media environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead social media strategy and initiatives for Madeby Collective brands and oversee execution of all social content and activations. 
  • Collaborate with Brand Managers to develop and oversee social content calendars that align with brand objectives and promotions across social, email, e-commerce, and retail activity.
  • Oversee briefing and execution of all social content posted on owned brand channels, shared with retail partners on behalf of the brand, or sponsored brand content on creator platforms.
  • Lead community management/strategy to build and nurture brand community
  • Lead the social team’s efforts to achieve weekly, monthly, annual goals on Instagram and TikTok 
  • Ideate and pitch unique, engaging social media activations to develop innovative custom content that breaks through the social clutter.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners in the Brand, Creative, Experiential, Brand Operations, Influencer, E-commerce, and Lifecycle Marketing teams 
  • Report insights gained from monitoring performance to internal stakeholders regularly -- weekly and monthly.
  • Curate and obtain approval to repost images, videos, and creator channels that align with each brand’s values to articulate brand positioning.
  • Monitor trends (and implement as needed) in social media platforms, tools, applications, design, and strategy
  • Work with Creative to establish social media guidelines for each brand

  • What We’re Looking For
  • 6+ years of experience in a social media role, with hands-on experience publishing to social platforms, creative development of content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Solid understanding and experience of social media across all platforms with significant expertise in Instagram and Tik Tok
  • Strong knowledge of the beauty or fashion industry
  • Experience working with influencers, talents, and/or digital content creators
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with cross functional departments and with all levels in the organization
  • Detailed, organized, analytical. Proven ability to evaluate results and pivot to optimize plans when faced with challenges
  • Entrepreneurial. Able to exercise judgment within defined brand guidelines to make decisions and drive the team forward independently.
